How to share files securely
Private file sharing involves more than putting a password on a link. It matters where encryption happens, what remains stored and how long a file truly needs to stay available.

Encryption before upload
For protected Notepad Premium files, content is encrypted in the browser before upload. The original name and media type are also handled within the protected flow, reducing readable information associated with stored material.
Use a strong password and, for sensitive content, send it separately from the link.
Storage limits
Premium provides up to 70 MB of total account storage and protected files up to 7 MB each. Before uploading, confirm that the file fits the limit and really needs to remain online.
For large document sets, share only what is necessary. Less data means less exposure and easier cleanup after the task.
Expiration and device security
Choose an expiration that matches the process and remove the file when its purpose is complete. Browser-side encryption cannot protect a computer already compromised by malware or physical access, so keep the browser and operating system updated.
